The chapel is in the Kirchhoven-Schuttorf district. She was dedicated to St. Donatus was consecrated because lightning had struck several times at this point. The chapel is also used as a processional chapel.
prehistory
The mayor's office in Kirchhoven was composed around 1830 as follows. The Kirchdorf Kirchhoven and the villages Entebruch, Heuchden, Leick, Lumbach, Schutdorf and Finne. There are also some farms and hamlets . All villages belonged to a mayor's office, but were in themselves separate village and living communities. On the Tranchot map from 1803 to 1820, the individual villages are clearly recognizable. Small chapels, crucifixes and wayside shrines were built in the villages as a sign of deep faith and a close togetherness . This is how this chapel was created in Schuttorf.
history
The Schuttorf Chapel was built between 1920 and 1930. The client was Hubert L Bäumen from Schuttorf. The construction work was carried out by local companies. Renovation work was and will be carried out in 2013/2014. After the theft of Donatus figure of the entrance has been changed.
architecture
The building is a brick construction with an ogival opening. The chapel is attached to a house wall. The tent-like roof is covered with slate. In the back wall there is a figural niche with a crucifix.

- A wrought iron lattice door is installed in the entrance area.
