The Mother of God Chapel is located in the Uetterath district of the city of Heinsberg in North Rhine-Westphalia . It stands as a monument under monument protection .

location

The chapel is in the Uetterath district of Nygen at a crossroads.

history

The small chapel is dedicated to Our Lady and was built in 1929/30. In 1986 a restoration of the chapel was carried out by the neighborhoods .

architecture

The building is a small brick building with an ogival opening. The front masonry is crowned with three battlements . The middle pinnacle bears a chapel cross. A tiled gable roof protects the chapel. In the entrance area is a grid made of wrought iron attached. The floor is tiled. Wood paneling is attached to the ceiling above the white painted walls .

Furnishing

  • In the chapel there is an altar and a Madonna and Child.
