Parish of St. Mary of the Assumption
A chapel was mentioned in the 15th century , it may have existed as early as the 14th century. In 1804 the church in Uetterath was raised to Dremmen.
The current church of St. Mary's Assumption was built in 1883, based on a design by Heinrich Ferdinand Mergard. The church tower was destroyed in World War II and rebuilt in the early 1950s. In the church there is the Uetterather Madonna from the 15th century and a bell from 1441.
Next to the church is the rectory. This was built in 1896 and, like the church, is a listed building .

mountain
Berg is located southeast of Uetterath, off the road to Randerath. The Bergh farm was mentioned in the 14th century as the Heinsberger Lehenhof. A few other courtyards were grouped around the courtyard. A simple wooden cross east of the village from the 19th century is under monument protection.
Nygen
Today, Nygen has grown strongly with Uetterath. Originally, Nygen was a separate settlement. There is a Chapel of Our Lady in the village, which was built in 1927.
Blauenstein
The smaller settlement is on the Bundesstraße 221. This ran between Geilenkirchen and Heinsberg as early as the Middle Ages . The settlement was formed at the intersection of the road to Uetterath.
Trees
The hamlet is south of Berg in the open field. It is close to the city limits of Geilenkirchen. The location of the settlement speaks for a hamlet of agricultural importance.
