Schafhausen is a district of the district town of Heinsberg in the westernmost district of Germany. This is in the federal state of North Rhine-Westphalia and here in the administrative district of Cologne .
geography
The state road 238 runs through Schafhausen , this leads from the district town of Heinsberg via Geilenkirchen- Lindern to the federal road 56 in Linnich . To the west of Schafhausen is Heinsberg, to the north is the village of Unterbruch , to the northeast is Oberbruch , and to the east is the Eschweiler - Grebben - Hülhoven association . Schleiden is located south of Schafhausen . To the west, the Heinsberg bypass of the federal road 221 touches the town. In the northern part of the village, the Wurmtalbahn railway line , which is to be reactivated by December 2013, passes Schafhausen.
history
On July 1, 1969, Schafhausen was incorporated into Heinsberg.
Culture
There are various clubs in Schafhausen. The “Ortring Schafhausen-Schleiden” acts as a coordinating association, the purpose of which is to “preserve, maintain and promote village life” in the localities of Schafhausen and Schleiden. He coordinates the appointments of the local associations and in particular organizes the events to commemorate the victims of war and violence on Memorial Day .
