Sveriges Radio P1 (SR P1) is the first full radio program from Sveriges Radio , based in Stockholm , in Swedish .

General

SR P1 is a pure information and word program which exclusively deals with national and international news topics. SR P1 can be received nationwide in Sweden via a well-developed VHF transmitter network, for example the 88.80 MHz transmitting 60 kW from Hörby in southern Sweden completely covers the Danish island of Zealand and the German island of Rügen .

The station has been broadcasting since 1925.
