Sveti Luke (Lipovac)
The Crkva Sveti Luke (Lukas Church) 3 km west of Lipovac in the municipality of Nijemci in the Croatian part of Syrmia ( Croatian Srijem , Serbian Srem ) is colloquially also called "Lučica".
This Gothic brick church was built in the 13th or early 14th century. Even then began the boundary region between the here Roman Catholic West and the Byzantine - Orthodox Eastern Europe.
The choir has a polygonal finish. The single-nave interior has lost its vaults. The buttresses of the choir and nave are partially badly damaged. Most of the windows were changed to have a round arch. At the top of the west gable sits a small wooden roof turret . The roof of the church was renewed a few years ago.
