Sida ( Styrelsen för internationellt utvecklingssamarbete , English Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency ) is the Swedish agency for international development cooperation based in Stockholm and was founded in 1995. In 2005 the agency had around 770 employees, including around 170 abroad.

The budget in 2005 was around SEK 14 billion (~ 1.5 billion euros ), which is around 60% of Sweden's contribution to development aid. Sida has cooperation with 120 countries in Africa , Asia , Latin America and Eastern Europe . About 1,400 different organizations, companies and other partners are financed and carried out about 5,500 assignments annually.

The authority is assigned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, with whose submissions there is close cooperation. Anders Nordström , former Director General of the World Health Organization, was director of the agency until May 2010 . In July 2010 Mats Sjöstrand was appointed as the new General Manager.
