The Swissôtel Tallinn is a hotel in the Estonian capital Tallinn . It is located in the Maakri district , right in the center of Tallinn . The building and the twin tower next to it are the highest in the city, with the " Tornimäe Maja " being 2 cm lower.

Hotel and location

The hotel is located in the financial center of Tallinn, 1400 m from the Town Hall Square ( Estonian Raekoja plats ), around 1 km from the passenger port and around 4 km from Tallinn Airport . The hotel has 238 rooms and suites, 2 restaurants and 3 bars, a spa and fitness area, a swimming pool, 2 conference rooms, meeting rooms and the largest dance floor (455 m²) in Estonia.

history

The contract to build the hotel was signed in 2004. The construction of the highest skyscraper in the city with 117 m took over three years. The hotel was officially opened on December 10, 2007.

The 30-storey hotel building is part of the “Tornimäe Project”, which also includes the apartments in the second tower, which is just as high, and shops and offices in the base. The project was developed by the architect Meeli Truu ( Nord Projekt AS ), the interior design by Meelis Pressi Arhitektuuribüroo AS .
