The Sykes Glacier is a glacier in East Antarctic Victoria Land . It flows in a northerly direction just east of the Plane Table in the Asgard Range .
The New Zealand Antarctic Place-Names Committee named him after the New Zealand film director Jeremy Sykes (1935-1969), who was killed in a helicopter crash on nearby Mount McLennan on November 19, 1969.
