The Plane Table (English for Plane Table ) is a striking ice-free plateau in the East Antarctic Victoria Land . In the northern part of the Asgard Range, the table mountain- like formation of dolerite towers over the area between the Nibelungen Valley and the Sykes Glacier . From here you have an overview of the Wright Valley .
The plateau was given its descriptive name by the New Zealand Antarctic Place-Names Committee .
