Sylvia Voigt

Sylvia Voigt (* 1961 in Karl-Marx-Stadt ) is a German author of regional crime novels .

Life

Sylvia Voigt grew up in Freiberg . After attending the polytechnic high school , she completed her training as a skilled worker for writing technology at the VEB Papiermaschinenwerke (PAMA) Freiberg. This was followed by a one-year qualification as a state-certified secretary. After the birth of her son, she began in 1984 her work at the Engineering School of Freiberg . In 1990, after this facility was closed, Sylvia Voigt moved to the university library of the TU Bergakademie. Here she worked as executive secretary until February 2018.

After her crime debut “Rügener Abhaben” in 2016, “Rügener Haie” followed in November 2017 and “Rügener Inferno” in 2018. The focus is on chief detective Jessica Burmeister, whose place of work is the police station in Sassnitz on Rügen . Further episodes are planned.
