Sylvie Banuls

Sylvie Banuls (* 1955 in Lyon , France ) is a French documentary filmmaker.

Life

Banuls studied ethnology and art history in Strasbourg and Paris and worked from 1978 as a journalist for ethnological journals. Between 1977 and 1983 several months of study and research trips to India to prepare films and publications followed. She worked on various film projects (including documentary film series) in film production companies in Paris as a researcher and assistant director, as well as in the production of French versions of German documentaries. Their son Yannis was born in 1983 and their daughter Mirya in 1991.

Sylvie Banuls has lived and worked in Munich since 1990 .
