Sylvio Ney (born October 31, 1977 ) is a German handball player . It is used in the center circle position.

The 2.00 meter tall Ney has been playing handball in Stralsund since childhood, initially in the backcourt position , and as a teenager was one of the best in his year in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.

Since 2004 he played in the second team of the Stralsund HV in the league, and made his debut on February 26, 2009 in a home game of the Stralsund HV in the 1st handball Bundesliga . He signed a contract with SHV that was valid for the 2009/2010 season in the 2nd Bundesliga.

He moved to HSV Peenetal Loitz for the 2009/2010 season . In the current 2013/2014 season in the Oberliga Ostsee-Spree , Sylvio Ney moved back to Stralsund AG in March 2014.

His brother, Enrico Ney , also played as a handball goalkeeper for the Stralsund HV.
