Synagogue (Mladá Vožice)

The synagogue in Mladá Vožice ( Czech Republic ) was built at the beginning of the 18th century. After the Second World War , the building was demolished.

There was a synagogue in Mladá Vožice from the beginning of the 18th century. After 1850 it was replaced by a new building in neo-Gothic style. Services were held in the synagogue until 1939. After the Second World War, the building fell into disrepair and was demolished around 1960 and a residential building was built instead, which, however, takes up a smaller area than the synagogue. In the immediate vicinity are the remains of a never completed building that was intended as a Jewish school. Today there is a private house on the site of the former synagogue, on which a small plaque was attached to commemorate the victims of the Holocaust .
