Synagogue (Groß-Zimmer)
The synagogue in Groß -zimmer , a community in the Darmstadt-Dieburg district in Hesse , was built in 1891. The synagogue stood in the center of the village at Kreuzstrasse 17 (formerly Mittelstrasse).

The inauguration of the new synagogue took place on June 19, 1891. It had 64 male places and 36 places on the women's gallery . The two-storey, plastered solid building was crowned by the tablets of the law on the gable . The entrance was on the street, on the west side.
In the 1930s, the number of members of the Jewish community fell sharply due to emigration and emigration, so that the synagogue was closed. The inside of the synagogue was destroyed during the November pogrom in 1938 . In 1939 a furniture company bought the synagogue building and used it as a furniture store.
In 1971 the synagogue building was demolished during the renovation work . A modern multi-purpose hall was built in its place .
