The synagogue in Lendava , a municipality in eastern Slovenia , was built in 1866. The secular synagogue at Spodnja ulica 5 has been a protected cultural monument since 1993 . It was used for church services until 1944 .

description

The simple building with arched windows is structured by pilasters . In the synagogue there were 80 seats for men on the ground floor and 60 seats for women on the gallery . Six gilded and fluted columns with Corinthian capitals support the gallery.

Todays use

After extensive renovation in the 1990s, the synagogue building was used for changing art exhibitions.

On the gallery there is an exhibition on Jewish history in Lendava.
