The synagogue at 49 Leó Frankel Street in Budapest , the Hungarian capital, was built in 1887/88. The synagogue is a protected cultural monument .

The synagogue was built according to plans by the architect Sándor Fellner . In the 1920s, the neological Jewish community had houses built on three sides around the synagogue.
