Ludwig Saeng

Ludwig Heinrich Saeng (born November 10, 1848 in Darmstadt ; † November 6, 1931 there ) was a Hessian insurance officer and politician ( NLP ) and a member of the 2nd Chamber of the Land estates of the Grand Duchy of Hesse .

Ludwig Saeng was the son of the private scribe Ludwig Saeng and his wife Elisabeth, née Kilian. Saeng, who was a Protestant, married Emilie, née Schmidt (1853–1927) in Frankfurt am Main on August 25, 1876 . From 1865 to 1877 he was an insurance officer in Mainz and Frankfurt, and in 1877 took over his father-in-law's bookstore in Darmstadt.

From 1902 to 1903 he was a member of the Second Chamber of the Estates. He was elected for the constituency of the city of Darmstadt . From 1895 to 1919 he was a member of the city council in Darmstadt and from 1914 to 1920 of the provincial assembly .
