Karl Ferdinand Schulz
Karl Ferdinand Schulz (born July 25, 1782 in Gießen ; † November 14, 1871 in Darmstadt ) was a Hessian judge and politician ( progress ) and a member of the 2nd Chamber of the Land estates of the Grand Duchy of Hesse .
Karl Schulz was the son of the professor and superintendent Johann Christoph Friedrich Schulz and his wife Johanette, née Benner. Schulz, who was Protestant, married Karoline, née Welcker (1792–1849), on October 10, 1820, the daughter of the pastor in Ober-Ofleiden, Philipp Welcker.
From 1808 Schulz studied law at the University of Gießen and University of Heidelberg where he received his Dr. jur. received his doctorate. In 1819 he became court attorney and procurator there. In 1820 he worked as a Buseckian patrimonial clerk in Groß-Buseck . In 1822 he became a district judge at the Lich district court , and in 1836 a district judge in Biedenkopf . From 1848 he was court judge at the court in Darmstadt before he retired in 1865.
From 1862 to 1866 and again in 1869 he was a member of the Second Chamber of the Estates. He was elected first for the constituency of the city of Alsfeld and then for the constituency of the city of Alsfeld.
In 1849 he was a member of the constituent national assembly .
