Theodor Kolb

Philipp Theodor Kolb (born March 19, 1811 in Trais-Horloff ; † January 25, 1881 in Darmstadt ) was a Hessian judge and politician and a member of the 2nd Chamber of the Estates of the Grand Duchy of Hesse .

Theodor Kolb was the son of pastor Johann Adam Kolb (1778–1853) and his wife Christine Elisabethe, née Goldmann (1787–1860). Kolb, who was a Protestant , married Caroline Johanette Georgine Magdalene Wilhelmine Mathilde née Palmer (1830-1887) on November 30, 1853 in Darmstadt.

Kolb studied law and became a court clerk at the court in Darmstadt . In 1847 he became a secretary attorney at the Darmstadt Court of Appeal and Cassation , where he was secretary from 1852. In 1858 he was promoted to the judiciary and retired in 1878.

From 1869 to 1872 he was a member of the Second Chamber of the Estates. He was elected for the constituency of the city of Alsfeld . In the estates he represented liberal / conservative positions.
