Synapses is a French animated short film directed by René Manzor in 1981.

A rundown clochard finds an electric chair in the desert . He's building a wall in front of it. A door and a silhouette of a woman are created in this wall. The man himself becomes a silhouette and walks through it.
background
Snapses is René Manzor's debut work. Christian Lignan also took part in the film as an animator .
With the film he took part in the Festival international du jeune cinéma de Hyères and won the Grand Prix there. The film was later re-released on Deadly Games' DVD / Blu-Ray re-release .
