history

The company was founded in 1991 as Talos Computervertriebsgemeinschafts GmbH by Thomas Kruse and André Flottmann and was renamed PC.Spezialist Computervertriebsgemeinschafts GmbH in the same year . After the company had introduced the brand name PC-Spezialist in 1995 , the company was converted into a stock corporation in 1998 and the company name changed accordingly to PC-Spezialist Franchise AG . In 1999, the company went public with a listing on the Neuer Markt, and after the Neuer Markt was closed in 2003, it switched to the Prime Standard segment .

In 2003 the founders Thomas Kruse and André Flottmann sold all of their shares. In 2005 the shareholders of PC-Spezialist Franchise AG decided to rename it to Synaxon AG ; the names of the previous business areas were retained. In November 2011 Synaxon changed location and moved from Bielefeld to the new company headquarters in Schloß Holte-Stukenbrock.

In 2014, the PC-Spezialist brand was repositioned and the focus changed from retailing to a service orientation. The online shop originally operated under pcspezialist.de was also placed in the background as part of this revision and replaced by a representation of the services provided by the service partners.

In March 2015, the Board of Management and the Supervisory Board submitted an application to delist the company's shares. The listing ended in October 2015.
