Synnex was founded in 1980 by the native Taiwanese Robert Huang under the name Compac . In 1994 the company was renamed Synnex Corporation and floated on the stock exchange in 2003. Since 2000, Synnex has grown significantly by taking over competitors such as Concentrix (2006), the customer care business from IBM (2014), the America business from Westcon-Comstor (2017) and Convergys (2018).
