Adam Vojtěch (born October 2, 1986 in Budweis ) is a Czech politician , lawyer and musician . He has been Minister of Health of the Czech Republic since 2017 .

Life

In 2005 Vojtěch took part in the television show Česko hledá SuperStar . From 2006 to 2013 he completed courses at the social science and law faculties of Charles University in Prague. From 2009 to 2010 he studied at University College Dublin .

From 2013 Vojtěch worked as a lawyer for Mafra , the media division of Andrej Babišs Holding Agrofert . After Babiš became Minister of Finance in 2014, Vojtěch acted as his private secretary.

In the 2017 House of Representatives elections , Vojtěch was elected to the House of Representatives for the ANO party . On December 13, 2017, he was sworn in as Minister of Health in the Andrej Babiš government . He kept this office in the second Babiš cabinet , which was sworn in on June 27, 2018. The COVID-19 pandemic in the Czech Republic falls during Adam Vojtěch's tenure as Minister of Health .
