Miloslav Ludvík

Miloslav Ludvík (born October 5, 1963 in Prague ) is a Czech manager and politician. He was Minister of Health in the Bohuslav Sobotka government from December 2016 to December 2017 .

Ludvík studied at the Prague University of Economics and at the Charles University Faculty of Law . From 1990 he worked mainly for pharmaceutical companies . From 2000 to 2016 Ludvík was director of the Motol University Hospital in Prague , the largest hospital in the Czech Republic, and after resigning as Minister of Health he took this post again.

In 2002 he was elected to the city council of the capital Prague for the social democratic party ČSSD . On December 30, 2016, after Prime Minister Bohuslav Sobotka announced that he would replace Svatopluk Němeček in the regional elections in the 2016 regional elections , President Miloš Zeman appointed Ludvík as Minister of Health.
