The regional elections in the Czech Republic in 2016 took place on October 7th and 8th, 2016. The regional parliaments were newly elected in thirteen of fourteen Krajes ( regions ) with the exception of the capital Prague .
Finance Minister Andrej Babiš's ANO party won the most votes in nine regions, Prime Minister Bohuslav Sobotka's Social Democrats in two and the Christian Democrats in one region. In the Liberec Region , the regional list Starostové pro Liberecký kraj (Mayor of the Liberec Region) won the most votes.
