Erwin Kruger

Erwin F. Krüger (born May 12, 1909 in Berlin ; † January 17, 1986 in Bad Soden am Taunus ) was a German politician ( SPD ).

Erwin F. Krüger did an apprenticeship as a printer and bookseller . In 1923 he joined the Socialist Workers' Youth (SAJ), later also the SPD. He attended technical schools and an evening grammar school . From 1929 to 1932 he worked as an employee at the non-profit housing corporation . In 1939, during the Second World War , Krüger was drafted into the police and worked for the Berlin police chief . In 1944 he was in the Wehrmacht struck and fell in 1945 in Yugoslavia in the captivity .

After the war, Krüger returned to Berlin in 1946 and became an employee of the Reinickendorf district office . In the Berlin election in 1948 he was elected to the district assembly of Reinickendorf. From 1952 he was chairman of the SPD Reinickendorf. In the 1954 election , Krüger was elected to the Berlin House of Representatives, to which he was a member until 1967.
