Regional elections in the Czech Republic in 2000
The 2000 regional elections in the Czech Republic took place on November 12th. The regional parliaments were newly elected in thirteen of fourteen Krajes ( regions ) with the exception of the capital Prague . The turnout was 33.64 percent.
The Citizens Democrats (ODS) received the most votes overall and a majority of votes in seven regions. In second place was a conservative four-party coalition of the parties KDU-ČSL , ODA , US and DEU . This alliance received the most votes in five regions.
