  • The 2000 regional elections in the Czech Republic took place on November 12th. The regional parliaments were newly elected in thirteen of fourteen Krajes ( regions ) with the exception of the capital Prague . The turnout was 33.64 percent.

    The Citizens Democrats (ODS) received the most votes overall and a majority of votes in seven regions. In second place was a conservative four-party coalition of the parties KDU-ČSL , ODA , US and DEU . This alliance received the most votes in five regions.
