Syntia Ellward (born March 3, 1993 ) is a Polish athlete who competes in the middle-distance run and specializes in the 800 meters.

Athletic career

In 2012 Syntia Ellward took part in the Junior World Championships in Barcelona , but was eliminated there over 800 meters in the preliminary round. In 2015 she qualified for the European Indoor Championships in Prague , where she was eliminated again in the first round. At the 2015 IAAF World Relays in the Bahamas, she won second place with the Polish 4 x 800 meter relay and set a new national record. At the U23 European Championships in Tallinn , Estonia , she finished eighth in the final.

In 2012 she won the silver medal in the 4 x 400 meter relay at the Polish championships with AZS-AWFiS Danzig and in 2015 she won the bronze medal over 800 meters at the Polish indoor championships. Her sister Agnieszka Ellward is also a successful track and field athlete who holds the national record in walking 50 km.
