Franz Blumauer (2017)

Franz Blumauer (* 1958 in Graz ) is an Austrian costume designer . Since 1982 he has been running his atelier for haute couture in Vienna .

Life

After his childhood and youth in the Styrian town of Bad Aussee , he was trained at the Vienna Fashion School in Schloss Hetzendorf and at the University of Applied Arts Vienna with Karl Lagerfeld . As a freelance costume designer, he has worked for renowned opera and theaters in the United States, Brazil, Belgium, Italy, Germany, Austria, Spain and Switzerland.
