The Assyrian Unity Party ( Aramaic ܓܒܐ ܕܚܘܝܕܐ ܣܘܪܝܝܐ ܒܣܘܪܝܐ Gabo d'Ḥuyodo Suryoyo , Arabic حزب الإتحاد السرياني في سورية, English Syriac Union Party ) is a political party in Syria , which claims to represent the interests of the Christian ethnic groups of the Syriacs .

The party was founded on October 1, 2005 and has been an opposition to the Assad government since the outbreak of the Syrian civil war . She is a member of the opposition alliance National Coordinating Committee for Democratic Change .

On August 15, 2012, members of the party broke into the Syrian embassy in Stockholm and devastated it in protest against the arrest of party members in Syria. A dozen members were then arrested by the Swedish police.

The Assyrian Unity Party established the Sutoro militia which controls Assyrian / Aramaic cities, districts and villages.
