Szaloncukor (salon sugar) is a Christmas- related candy from Hungary and a traditional Christmas tree decoration.

Szaloncukor are pralines wrapped in colored tinfoil that hang on the Christmas tree in Hungary, similar to garlands . The name salon sugar has its origin in the fact that the Christmas tree is traditionally placed in the salon (Szalon in Hungarian). Recipes for this have been recorded in writing since the end of the 19th century.

Szaloncukor there in the form of Christmas chocolates with jelly filling, chocolate with cognac - truffle cream , Családi szaloncukor with jelly, marzipan , coconut, Túró lemon and chocolate flavor coating and the Bonbonetti Marcipános szaloncukor. Christmas pralines with marzipan filling and cocoa glaze are also known as Szaloncukor.
