Tête-à-tête quadrille

The Tête-à-Tête-Quadrille is a quadrille by Johann Strauss Sohn (op. 109). It was performed for the first time on February 4, 1852 in Pressburg, today's Bratislava .

Remarks

The work was written for Mardi Gras in 1852. The first performance took place under the name Souvenir á Preßbourgh in what was then Pressburg (now Bratislava). The Quadrille got its current name in Vienna, where it was heard for the first time on February 17, 1852 in the Zum Sperl dance hall .
