The natural area of Tübingen step edge bay is a natural subunit in the natural spatial main unit group Swabian Keuper-Lias-Land and the main group Schönbuch and Glemswald .

Geographical location

The Tübingen step edge bay is bounded in the north by the southern Schönbuchrand and in the south by the forest slopes of the Rammert . The Ammer and Neckar floodplains are locally influenced by the Gäuplatten at the edge.

Agricultural use

In addition to the arable areas, orchards and vineyards can be found on the slopes .
