Türkiye Diyanet Vakfı
Türkiye Diyanet Vakfı ( TDV ; "Diyanet Foundation Turkey") is a religious foundation in Turkey . The foundation is based in Ankara . The foundation is managed by the head of the Presidium for Religious Affairs (Diyanet); Ali Erbaş is currently in office . The Foundation was established in March 1975 as a non-profit, non-governmental organization under Law No. 903. The tax relief was recognized in 1978. According to its own statements, the foundation's primary goals are: Supporting the work of Diyanet. This includes material support for Koran courses and contributions to the Diyanet television station (Diyanet TV).
The foundation awards scholarships and, according to its own information, has funded a total of 15,000 students by 2013/2014. It also runs student residences and has founded its own university, İstanbul 29 Mayıs Üniversitesi . As part of the educational activities, buildings are being provided for Imam Hatip schools and several schools have been established in Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Romania, Bulgaria and Somalia and educational institutions up to PhD degrees have been established.

The highest foundation body is the General Assembly ( Genel Kurul ). It meets every two years and elects the board of directors ( Mütevelli Heyet ) and the supervisory board ( Denetim Kurulu ). The chairman of the Mütevelli Heyet is Mehmet Görmez. The day-to-day business of the foundation is carried out by the General Directorate. The İLKSAY ( İlim, Kültür, Sanat ve Yayın Kurulu Başkanlığı ) and İSAM ( İslam Araştırmaları Merkezi "Center for Islamic Studies") are affiliated to the foundation . İLKSAY is responsible for Islamic learning, art, culture and publications and İSAM is responsible for research and in particular for the 44-volume Encyclopedia of Islam, the Türkiye Diyanet Vakfı İslâm Ansiklopedisi (abbreviated TDVİA or DİA), which was published between 1988 and 2013 has been. The foundation maintains its own publishing house ( TDV Yayın Matbaacılık ve Ticaret İşletmesi ) and a social institution ( TDV Yurtlar ve Sosyal Tesisler İktisadi İşletmesi ).
