Tōru Araiba ( Japanese 新 井 場 徹 , Araiba Tōru ; born July 12, 1979 in Osaka Prefecture ) is a former Japanese football player .

Career

Araiba learned to play football in the youth team of Gamba Osaka . He signed his first contract with Gamba Osaka in 1997. The club played in the highest league in the country, the J1 League . For the club, he completed 140 top division games. In 2004 he moved to league rivals Kashima Antlers . With the club he became Japanese champions in 2007, 2008 and 2009 . For the club he completed 262 top division games. In 2013 he moved to league competitor Cerezo Osaka . For the club he completed 21 first division games. At the end of 2014, he ended his career as a football player.
