T-service

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

As of July 2007, Deutsche Telekom AG brought together the Group's service units under the umbrella brand T-Service , spinning off around 50,000 employees into three newly established service companies. As of 2010, the brand name was no longer used.

history

Ready on 16 May 1995, the brand entered T service for the German Telekom in the trademark register.

At its meeting on February 28, 2007, the Supervisory Board of Deutsche Telekom decided against the votes of the employee representatives to found a new service unit called T-Service . After the call by the service union ver.di , 13,000 employees protested against the planned restructuring of the group in front of the Bonn headquarters before the start of the supervisory board meeting. By spinning off the call center , technical customer service and technical infrastructure divisions in June 2007 into three independent service companies, the group said it wanted to improve service and sales while also optimizing cost structures. The union saw this primarily as an attempt to cut personnel costs through poor working conditions and lower wages.

In the subsequent negotiations between representatives of ver.di and Deutsche Telekom on protection against the consequences of the outsourcing of 50,000 employees to the planned T-Service companies, both sides agreed in June 2007 on the planned outsourcing with far-reaching concessions by the company.

On April 1, 2010, Deutsche Telekom was restructured again and other areas were outsourced. The three companies were integrated as subsidiaries into Telekom Deutschland GmbH, based in Bonn . The T-Service brand was no longer used and was partially deleted from the trademark register on January 5, 2015.
