T-Spoon
T-Spoon was a Dutch Eurodance and House project by producer Prince Peration aka Remy de Groot.
biography
The original plan was to hire different singers and rappers for each release . Due to the great success of the debut single No Time 2 Waste , which reached number 13 in the Dutch charts in February 1994 , only the singers changed several times, while the rapper Shamrock stayed with T-Spoon for five years.
More chart hits followed in the Netherlands. In 1994, Take Me 2 the Limit rose to 9th place and Where RU Now to 15th place. In the following year, three songs were in the Dutch Top 20 with Mercedes Benz at 8th place, See the Light at 18th and A Part of My Life at 15th placed. In 1996, too, three singles made it into the domestic hit parade: Rockstar at number 24, Someone Loves You Honey at number 33 and Smiling at number 14.
T-Spoon had the greatest success in 1997 with Sex on the Beach . The single rose to number 3 in the Netherlands in July of that year and a good year later, in September 1998, even made it to number 2 on the UK charts and was awarded a silver record in the United Kingdom . After Message of Love only climbed to number 36 in Holland at the end of 1997, the single Tom's Party was released in April 1998 . At number 31 at home, the piece was initially not as successful as most of the previous singles, but this song made it onto the UK charts for the second time, this time at number 27.
Shamrock left the project in 1998 and was replaced by the American rapper Greg Dillard, who can be heard together with the singer Linda Estelle on the US album debut T-Spoon . The last chart hit T-Spoons was the release Summerlove , which made it to number 15 on the Dutch charts in 1999.
