history

The TABVLA RASA was founded in 1992 by the then student Bernd Villhauer and Stefan Gross started and initially appeared irregularly from 2006 quarterly. First of all, reports on current research focuses by employees of the Institute for Philosophy at the Friedrich Schiller University should be easily communicated with flexible formatting and, moreover, academically interested people should be reached. This beginning expanded to include nationwide participation in scientific discourse. With the domain of the same name, its name was changed from 'Tabula Rasa' to 'TABVLA RASA' in July 2006, although its old name was picked up again in 2007 by a culture magazine Tabula Rasa . She was in close contact with that magazine by taking over selected articles from it as its older sister. The choice of texts was based on their declared basic concern of offering a forum “for as yet untried philosophical thought processes” and for “exciting research in the humanities.” According to the magazine's website, the last issue appeared on November 1, 2012.
