The TAI T625 is a twin-engine, multi- role helicopter from TUSAŞ Aerospace Industries (TAI) .

history

In 2013 a program was started to develop a helicopter to replace the Bell UH-1H in the Turkish armed forces and to be used by the police and emergency services . A mock-up of the T625, initially known as the “Ozgun” ( 6 t maximum take - off weight , 2 engines, 5 -blade main rotor) was exhibited at the International Defense Industry Fair (IDEF) in early May 2017 . The construction of a first prototype started in July 2016, on September 6, 2018 the first flight followed in Kahramankazan near Ankara. Series production is planned from 2021.
