Steffen Augsberg

Steffen Augsberg (born September 13, 1976 in Gießen ) is a German legal scholar and professor of public law at the Justus Liebig University in Gießen .

Career

After graduating from high school, Augsberg studied law (and Anglo-American law) at the University of Trier and the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich from 1995 to 2000 . In the year of his graduation, he also passed his first state examination in law. Augsberg obtained his doctorate in 2002 at the University of Heidelberg , in 2011 he completed his habilitation in Cologne , with which he also acquired the Venia legendi . From 2011 to 2013 he held the chair for public law, in particular health law, at Saarland University, and since 2013 Augsberg has been Professor (W3) for public law at Justus Liebig University in Giessen. He has been a member of the German Ethics Council since 2016 .
