The TAKRAF GmbH is a global, mid-sized company for mining equipment and bulk terminals, based in Leipzig with an additional location in Lauchhammer (together about 400 employees), as well as subsidiaries worldwide. The company has appeared externally as Tenova TAKRAF since it was taken over by Tenova SpA in 2008 .

history

TAKRAF Lauchhammer GmbH Leipzig (TLL) was founded in 1992 from parts of the former combine TAKRAF (TAKRAF Holding, TAKRAF Anlagenbau (TAA) and the core business of Schwermaschinenbau Lauchhammerwerk AG (LHW AG)).

In 1994 the TLL was sold to MAN Fördertechnik Nürnberg by the Treuhandanstalt . The conveyor technology activities of MAN and TLL were merged into MAN TAKRAF Fördertechnik GmbH .

During the years at MAN, all locations have been restructured and activities have been concentrated. It was later assigned to MAN Ferrostaal AG .

In 2006 the company was sold to VTC Industrieholding GmbH. Since the sale, the company has been trading as TAKRAF GmbH .

In 2007, Tenova, a subsidiary of the international Techint group, acquired TAKRAF GmbH from VTC.
