The TASPO is a weekly trade newspaper for the horticultural all specialist divisions. The subscription-based newspaper is the market leader in German-speaking countries, was first published in 1867 under the title Thalackers Allgemeine Samen- und Pflanzen-Offerte , making it the oldest weekly horticultural journal. It is published today by Haymarket Media GmbH & Co. KG (formerly Thalacker Medien ).

Several other horticultural publications appear under the umbrella brand TASPO, such as TASPO Baumzeitung , TASPO Gartendesign and TASPO Gartenmarkt .

The "TASPO Awards" have been presented annually since 2006 for outstanding achievements in the field of horticulture. The TASPO Foundation (formerly the Isolde Voigt Foundation, after Isolde Voigt , the former shareholder of Thalacker Verlag) promotes scientific work from all specialist areas of the TASPO Awards with the "Young Science" prize in cooperation with the German Horticultural Society Horticulture.

In the third quarter of 2017, the weekly newspaper had a total circulation of 9,419 copies, with a sold circulation of 8,496 copies, 7,917 of which were subscribers. More than a quarter of these are sold in North Rhine-Westphalia , the main readership is in the fields of production horticulture, cemetery gardening , gardening and landscaping , tree nurseries and horticultural retail (as of 2006).
