The TDECU Stadium is a college football - stadium in the US city of Houston in the state of Texas . It is located on the campus of the University of Houston and has capacity for 40,000 spectators. The University of Houston football team (Houston Cougars) and the Houston Roughnecks from the XFL currently play their home games here.
TDECU Stadium was built on the previous site of Robertson Stadium , which hosted the Houston Cougars' home games from 1946 to 2013. The naming rights were sold to the Texas Dow Employees Credit Union (TDECU) .
