history

Beet harvester from TIM

The company emerged from a village forge, the owner of which dealt with the problem of mechanical beet harvesting and quickly became a valued manufacturer of agricultural machinery thanks to its quality and functionality. Within a very short time, TIM harvesters were widely used in Denmark and Germany. The double-breasted towers from TIM replaced the double-breasted ones from Wilhelm Stoll Maschinenfabrik GmbH and shaped the sugar beet harvest for a long time , especially in the Rhineland . The strengths of the TIM harvester in contrast to the Stoll were, among other things, a lower loss due to broken beet tops and a much larger bunker.

In 2000 TIM Maskinfabrik A / S was merged with Maskinfabrikken Thyregod A / S, also from Denmark. Since then the agricultural machinery manufacturer Tim Thyregod A / S is called, at the same time Kongskilde Industries A / S acquired some shares of this factory.

Due to the sugar market regime and the endeavor for greater profitability, trailed beet harvesters are increasingly being displaced. More and more farmers are joining forces in lifting groups and are investing in the acquisition of six-row self-propelled beet harvesters. In 2010 they worked with Saaten-Union on a trailed harvester, which also harvests the leaves for biogas purposes.
