The Wilhelm Stoll Maschinenfabrik GmbH is an agricultural machinery manufacturer with a focus Frontladerbau headquartered in Lengede - Broistedt .

history

In 1878 W. Stoll Maschinenfabrik GmbH was founded in Luckenwalde near Berlin. Between 1906 and 1945 the company's headquarters were in Torgau . From 1946 the company was rebuilt in Broistedt in Lower Saxony. The company began developing and producing beet harvesters at the new location and began producing front loaders in 1965. As the first front loader manufacturer, Stoll has been building drive-in front loaders since 1983, which can be separated from the tractor within two minutes without great effort.

Freudendahl Invest A / S initially took over 20% of the shares in Wilhelm Stoll Maschinenfabrik GmbH in 1997 and the entire company two years later. As a result, the production of beet harvesters and hay machines at the Broistedt site was given up.

With the FS / FZ front loader series, the design of the front loader has been further simplified since 2007: the control rods and hydraulic lines are laid in the swing arms without sacrificing stability. After Freudendahl Invest filed for bankruptcy in November 2012, a financial investor, Deutsche Mittelstand Beteiligungen (DMB) from Hamburg, acquired its shares and since then owner.

Sales figures and products

Front loaders and front loader tools are produced under the STOLL brand ; the turnover is around seventy million euros.

In addition to front loaders, tools for removing silage, bale grippers, leveling and grabbing shovels as well as various fork and forestry tools are also manufactured. Front loaders and tools are produced at three locations in Germany and Poland.
