TI Fluid Systems is a British automotive supplier headquartered in Oxford and with additional headquarters in Auburn Hills , Michigan. The company goes back to the Bundy Corporation, which was founded in Detroit in 1922 and already supplied fuel lines for the Ford Model T. Bundy was bought by the TI Group in 1988 , which in 2000 was incorporated by the Smiths Group itself . In 2001, TI Automotive was spun off as an independent company and taken over by Bain Capital in 2015 . In October 2017, the company was listed on the London Stock Exchange under the new name TI Fluid Systems. TI Fluid Systems is now divided into the areas of “Fuel Tank & Delivery Systems”, which are responsible for the production of fuel tanks and pumps, and “Fluid Carrying Systems” for brake and fuel lines.
