Alicia Helen Barrett (born March 25, 1998 in Chesterfield ) is a British hurdler who specializes in the 100 meter distance .

Athletic career

Alicia Barrett played her first competition at international championships at the U18 World Championships 2015 in Cali , where she finished sixth in the hurdles final. In 2016 she qualified for the U20 World Championships in Bydgoszcz, Poland , where she also reached sixth place. In 2017 she represented the United Kingdom at the European Team Championships in Lille , where she finished sixth. Then she won the silver medal behind the French Solène Ndama at the U20 European Championships in Grosseto . She also qualified for the World Championships in London , where she was eliminated with 13.42 s in the first round . Two weeks later, the student from Sheffield Hallam University took part in the Summer Universiade in Taipei and reached the semi-finals there. The following year, she first took part in the Commonwealth Games in the Australian Gold Coast and was there in 13.64 s eighth.

In 2017 and 2018 Barrett became British Champion in the 100 m hurdles.
