Lists on the subject |
The TKB-0111 ( T ulaer K onstruktionsbüro Ausf. 0111 ) is a Soviet assault rifle prototype that was designed by German Alexandrowitsch Korobow as part of the Abakan project . The Abakan project was intended to find an improved orderly weapon for the Soviet armed forces.
history
In 1967, this armourer had already designed the TKB-072 weapon , which could open automatic fire in two modes: at a rate of 500 or 2200 rounds per minute. TKB-0111 was based on this mechanism. During the test shooting in 1973, the TKB-0111 had a higher accuracy than the AK-47 , especially with continuous fire while standing. However, the other properties of the weapon did not meet the requirements and it was not included in the armament.
particularities
The weapon is a closed gas pressure loader , the breech of which covers the barrel vertically, with a gas piston spring intended to soften the recoil. A gas dynamic compensator in the housing serves the same purpose.
The weapon can emit single fire , bursts of fire and continuous fire. The rate of fire for bursts is 1,700 rounds / min and for continuous fire 500 rounds / min.
Today the weapon can only be found in museums .
