TTC Remlingen

The TTC Remlingen is a table tennis club from Remlingen (Lower Franconia) . The men's team played in the Bundesliga in 1974/75 .

The beginnings go back to August 1958, when TSV Remlingen was joined as a table tennis department. On May 5, 1958, the independent association TTC Remlingen was founded.

In 1967 the team was still playing in the district league. After several promotions, she became champions of the Bavarian League in the 1972/73 season in the line-up of Michael Münzinger, Peter Becker, Joachim Geis, Karl-Rainer Steger, Rudi Pfister, Karl-Heinz Haak, Engel, Keller and Werner Kümmerle . This entitled to promotion to the Oberliga Süd . With the help of the reinforcements Hans Kehrer, Harald Lohbauer and Gerd Preißler, the team achieved first place again, prevailed in the promotion games in May 1974 and qualified for the Bundesliga. Here it was only penultimate in the 1974/75 season and had to relegate.

This was followed by player departures and several relegations down to the district class. Today (2010) the team competes at the district level.

A well-known player was Joachim Geis, who took part in the 1974 European Youth Championship.
